Wolves to put pressure on Spurs

It has been a rocky season so far for Tottenham Hotspur and they come in here with two straight defeats. They will hope for recovery when hosting Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League. The two sides go to the game separated by just one point. Spurs on 40 points in sixth place while Wolves have accumulated 39 points in eighth place.

Spurs were outclassed by Chelsea in their last match and earlier by Leipzig in the Champions League. That makes it four matches without a clean sheet for the North Londoners. They have conceded twice in three of their last four matches but have failed to score just once in their last seven. Harry Kane and Son Heung-min are still out injured, and it has looked evident where their main worries lie currently.

Wolves have once again proven they can match the biggest teams in the league. They will be gunning for a win here as they also harbour top-four ambitions. They are coming from a 3-2 loss to Espanyol in the Europa League, but they had already finished the job in the first leg, winning 4-0.

In the last seven meetings with Spurs, they won just once with Tottenham claiming four wins. Each of the last three meetings, and five of the last seven, ended in over 2.5 goals. Both sides were on the target in six of the last seven meetings. In their last three matches, Wolves have scored nine goals and conceded three. They have three straight clean sheets in the Premier League and head here with their last five matches have produced over 2.5 goals.

Wolves have one clean sheet in the last five league matches away from home and have conceded two or more in two of the five away matches. Wolverhampton Wanderers will find a well-rested Spurs side, playing at home. We are positive that Wolves did not leave all behind in Barcelona on Thursday and that they will match Spurs.
