Sivasspor can make up grounds on the top sides in the table when they visit Antalyaspor Monday evening. After watching the top three sides all playing out draws on Sunday, Sivasspor has a great chance of catching up when they visit Antalya Stadyumu. They are currently in 4th place with four points to Trabzonspor and Istanbul who share 1st place.
Galatasaray in 2nd place with 50 points is with Sivasspor on 49, meaning the latter can really turn the heat up on their title quest. They have been scoring goals for fun in the Süper Lig lately and have actually been on target in their last 28 league matches. It is unlikely they will stray from their attacking style of play against Antalyaspor. Emre Kilinc, who scored the equalizer against Galatasaray, is widely expected to return to the starting XI for the visitors. Serhiy Rybalka, Ziya Erdal, Erdogan Yesilyurt and Petar Skuletic will all be watching from the stands tonight. So will Fernando who is suspended.
The home side is aiming to create a gap between themselves and the relegation places. They are currently on 27 points, only two points from the drop. A win will, of course, give them some breathing space. For that to happen they will need to up their game quite a bit though. They have only registered two home wins all season.
Both against sides beneath them in the standings. Something Sivasspor is very far from doing. Besiktas and Trabzonspor both came away from Antalya Stadyumu with wins and like Sivasspor they are both parts of the top five. In fact, Antalyaspor have lost seven of their last 10 home matches against sides in the top six. Conceding 21 goals along the way. The home side has Charles and Bahadir Özturk missing due to injury. They seem to be the only players upon whose services coach Tamer Tuna can’t call upon.
Punters with a penchant for specials should go looking for a red card as this occurred in the last three encounters between these two sides. A little more cautious approach suggests siding with the visitors, perhaps on the “draw-no-bet” market. We aim for goals with eight of their last 10 encounters in this stadium had both teams on target.
