Juventus looking for number 10

With the final two rounds of the Nicaraguan Primera Division looming some teams have more to play for than others. Juventus FC Managua welcoming Club Deportivo Ocotal at the Complejo Deportivo De Fútbol Arnoldo y Matty Chavéz is an example of that. Juventus FC Managua finds themselves in 6th place with before the final two rounds with Chinandega hot on their heels.

The only thing Club Deportivo Ocotal are chasing is not finishing in the last place in the Clausura season. They finished in 8th place, nine points in front of the 10th place in the Apertura season in the fall, so the Clausura has been a pretty big disappointment. They go into this encounter in rotten form as they have claimed just a single point in their last seven matches.

Juventus FC vs Deportivo Ocotal, Outlook & Tip

Away from home, they have been poor all year as they have managed just one point in their last 8 away matches. They did at least manage a draw when visiting Deportivo Las Sabanas, the team placed in 9th spot. In such poor shape, it will be a big surprise to see them claiming any points in Masaya.

Juventus FC Managua might “only” be in 6th place, but their home form is that of an absolute top side. They have conquered seven wins and lost none of their last nine at the Complejo Deportivo De Fútbol. They go into this with five wins on the spin. All five wins came with at least a two-goal advantage. The last four even with at least a three-goal advantage.

Juventus FC Managua usually enjoys taking on Club Deportivo Ocotal at home. Or to put it otherwise. The latter probably hates coming here as they have lost their previous 9 visits on the spin. Seven of these without even scoring. The last three by an 8-0 scoreline. The difference in class looks to be just about the same before tonight’s encounter.

A win by more than one goal looks a fine way to go. As does use the home win as a banker in a bigger accumulator. A home win to nil looks equally tempting. Here we have settled for a “no” in the “both teams to score” market. A bet which would have produced a winner in six of their previous seven meetings. And in six of their previous seven meetings at the Complejo Deportivo De Fútbol Arnoldo y Matty Chavéz.
