The last match of the Saturday program in the Belarus Premier League seems a tough one to call. Dinamo Minsk takes on Gorodeya when visiting the Stadyen Haradzeya with both sides sitting on three points. The home side started off losing their first to matches of the season.
They kicked off going down 1-0 away to Vibetsk, before losing 2-0 at home to Shakhtyor. The first win of the season finally arrived with a narrow 1-0 win away against bottom-of-the-table Belshina thanks to a second-half goal. A much-needed boost before welcoming Dinamo from Minsk.
Dinamo Minsk finished last season in 4th place but currently find themselves in the relegation zone after three games. Yes, it is still early days but nevertheless a disappointing start to the campaign. Like their host of Saturday, they lost their first two fixtures of the season beginning with a 1-0 home defeat against promoted Ruh Brest.
They followed that up with a nightmarish first half in the local derby against FC Minsk. Down 3-0 after 45 minutes two goals in the 2nd half only served to soften the defeat a little bit. They got off the mark last weekend when beating Torpedo thanks to two first-half goals.
Taking last season into consideration they have a few problems to solve when away from their home ground. They are without a win in nine away matches, losing five of the last six. Their defence allowed 18 goals against them in those six matches. Last season they managed six away wins. Bizarrely they won away against champions Brest but failed to beat any other side in the top nine on their travels.
That includes going down 3-1 when visiting Gorodeya. The last three seasons have seen these two sides share the spoils by each winning one match each season. This seems by far the most difficult match on Saturday to call. Judging by how much Minsk concede away from home, a high scoring match looks a decent bet.
